AT&T,Marketing Partner Of USA Basketball Men's Team

AT&T Inc. is now a marketing partner of the USA Basketball Men's National Team.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.

AT&T, the largest U.S. high-speed Internet access provider, will distribute exclusive men's team content to its customers, both online and via video-on-demand.

"As a proud sponsor of the U.S. Olympic Team, we're thrilled to add another great sport to our roster," - Jason Simpson, AT&T's director of Olympic integration.

AT&T is an official sponsor of the U.S. Olympic Team and has marketing agreements with several governing bodies, including USA Track & Field, USA Gymnastics and USA Swimming.

Johnson & Johnson and 24 Hour Fitness also signed marketing agreements with the team, USA Basketball said in separate news releases.

NBA: Settlement ends NBA's stay in Seattle

The NBA have announced that the owners of the Supersonics franchise have reached a settlement with Seattle to move the team to Oklahoma.

Under the terms of the deal, owner Clay Bennett and his backers will pay the city $45million, with Seattle getting to keep the name, logo and team colours.

That means they could still attract another franchise who chooses to relocate in the future, or be the home of a new team.

As well as the first payment, the city will get a further $30m if they do not get another NBA franchise within five years.

"We believe this is a fair and appropriate resolution to the litigation involving the Sonics and the City of Seattle," said Bennett.

"We are pleased that the uncertainty is lifted for our players, staff and Oklahoma City fans who can now make plans for the immediate future.

"We have a business to run and this settlement allows us to make the best decision for the franchise and allow the City of Seattle to begin planning its own NBA future."

The SuperSonics, who have been based in Seattle for the past 30 years, are the first NBA team to relocate since the Hornets left Charlotte for New Orleans six years ago.

Oklahoma, who ironically was the temprorary home for the Hornets after Hurricane Katrina, is the home city of owner Bennett, who purchased the Sonics in 2006 from Starbucks Corp. Chairman Howard Schultz.

Rooney's Honeymoon : Wayne Rooney And NBA player Lebron James Spotted In Wynn Hotel

United Manchester soccer star Wayne Rooney has been honeymooning in Las Vegas with new bride Colleen McLoughlin.

Saturday night he returned to Blush nightclub inside the Wynn hotel (he was there Tues night for the Toga Party). Rooney found out NBA player Lebron James was also hanging out and had the house photographer take him to James' table for a reunion and photo.

The last time the two of them were together was when they met while filming the famous Nike commercial that featured Rooney, James, Kobe Bryant, Roger Federer and other young sports legends. James is in town for Team USA Basketball and has been spending a lot of time between Jay-Z's 40/40 Club and other hot night spots.

Other pros hanging out at Blush on Saturday night included Dallas Maverick's Jason Kidd, New Orleans Hornets player Chris Paul and Denver Nuggets player Carmelo Anthony.

Former NBA Star Dennis Rodman Confirms Allegation Of Spousal Misdemeanour

Former NBA star Dennis Rodman pleaded no contest to misdemeanour charges of spousal battery.

Rodman's agent, Darren Prince, said that the 47-year-old avoided jail time, but has been sentenced to three years probation, 45 days of community service and one year of anger management and domestic violence classes.

"Dennis is happy he can put this misdemeanour charge behind him and get on with his life and career," the New York Daily News quoted Prince, as saying.

Police arrested Rodman in April after he had a late-night fight with his girlfriend following a night of drinking.
