NHL Superstar Mike Fisher Marries Music Star Carrie Underwood

30-year-old Ottawa Senators star Mike Fisher married 27-year-old country music star Carrie Underwood in Georgia on 10th July. It's the first wedding for both Underwood and Fisher.

The couple announced their engagement five days before Christmas in 2009.

They got married at Reynolds Plantation resort in Georgia.

According to People magazine, their wedding planner called the ceremony before 250 guests "a spiritual expression of their love, a special moment for a very special couple."

"We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us," the newlyweds told People in a statement, which they signed "Mike & Carrie Fisher."

Ice Hockey: Johnny Bower Will Be For MS Annual Ball And Ice Hockey

The Brampton and Caledon Multiple Sclerosis Society chapter will be having their first ball and ice hockey event, We Shoot . . . We Score . . . A Cure For MS, at the South Fletchers Recreation Complex in Brampton July 5 and 6.

Toronto Maple Leaf goaltender Johnny Bower will be signing autographs at the event. He will also be selling his book "The China Wall", with $10 of each book sold will be donated to the MS Scociety. A number of other pro hockey players and recognizable pro athletes have also agreed to help the MS Society promote the event, as they have signed memorabilia that will be auctioned off July 5.

Canadian Wayne Fleming offered Dinamo Minsk Coach's Job

Belarus ice hockey team Dinamo Minsk has offered the coach's job to Wayne Fleming, a Canadian. Fleming said that he say "yes" or "no" to the offer on June 4.

The 57-year old is now assistant coach with the NHL's Calgary Flames. Wayne Fleming led Team Canada at the 2001 World Championship. He is now the second Canadian coach after who has been offered by Dinamo Minsk after John Paddock turned down the offer earlier this year.

Nottingham Panthers of Elite Ice Hockey League in Engaland has signed in Steel Hounds captain Chris Richards(32). Richards scored 24 goals and 56 assists as the SteelHounds enjoyed their best season, finishing as third seed in the Northern Conference.
